The body of this hopper bird feeder is made out of recycled poly lumber material which will never crack, split or fade no matter the weather conditions. Constructed with all stainless steel screws to prevent rusting. The slotted acrylic sides help create a steady flow of bird seed filling into the removable seed tray so there will not be a build up of seed held hostage inside the hopper feeder. The acrylic screens and the seed tray are removable for easy cleaning. The top roof panel can be shifted aside to make refilling this feeder an easy task. Seed tray has small drainage holes to keep seed dry to resist molding. This JCs Wildlife Large Hopper Bird Feeder must be pole mounted from the bottom of the feeder. This feeder has been tested to hold up to 2 gallons of bird seed, making this our largest bird feeder to date! Universal Pole Kit by Squirrel Stopper: This pole features a sturdy, rust-resistant design, sure to hold up to even the largest and heaviest birdhouses and bird feeders. The three sections attach easily and the included heavy-duty auger is the same style made popular by the original Squirrel Stopper Pole System. The threaded joints help make this pole stronger than the traditional twist lock mechanism. The Universal Pole Kit is innovative in design, with a 1 1/4" diameter that tapers to the "universal" 1 inch diameter top. The included universal mounting flange allows for an object to be mounted on top or on the side of the flange. If the side mount is used, a plug is included to stop water from entering the pole from the open top mount. The pole is nearly 5' tall when installed. This is not a squirrel-proof pole.
